Making the Road Safer, One Song at a Time

Can listening to certain music really affect the way you drive? That’s the conclusion of Simon Moore, a professor at London Metropolitan University. Moore recently created media buzz when he came out with his study that showed the optimal music for safe driving were songs that were at similar tempo to that of the human heart beat – about 60 to 80 beats a minute. In addition to the type of music drivers should listen to, he also suggested an optimal volume for save driving, about 55 to 65 decibels.
